Occupational Therapy driving assessments  

Refresher driving lessons and preparation for medical DPTI practical assessments  

Training learners how to drive

Are You The Motivated and Dynamic Driving Instructor We Are Looking For?  

About You

Currently, we are looking for driving instructors with appropriate qualifications in the North of Adelaide to cover Elizabeth to Modbury. You would live or be happy to work in these areas but also travel to the office at Richmond on occasions for training and development and the occasional assessment.

You are a fun and personable personality and have a desire to excel in a driving business. 

You’re always looking to develop your knowledge and skills, and are eager to take on new and exciting challenges. 

Ideally, you are a Driving Instructor with a qualification in CBT&A. Or you have the right personality for our company and you have a growth mindset ready to train and get your extra qualifications. 

You have excellent computer literacy, and are happy and understanding that you need to take notes for and after every lesson. You will need your own smartphone and access to a computer/tablet with internet access to record notes and stats.  

Most importantly, you have a personality that is calm, you can listen, you can pre-plan and have excellent verbal communication skills. You will be working with people with a disability, including physical disabilities and conditions such as dementia and autism.

Williams OT has modified vehicles with left foot accelerators, several types of hand controls, and many more adaptations to help clients with physical disabilities with driving. The right person will have access to such a vehicle and will learn how to assist clients to drive with such controls.

The Location:

Williams OT is based in Richmond, Adelaide SA. That's central for everyone. The position will, however, require travel and may require long-distance and overnight travel on very rare occasions.

Currently, we are seeking MDIs for the North of Adelaide to cover Elizabeth and Modbury.

Although Williams OT is based in Richmond, as a contractor, the position offers great flexibility and we are set up for you to work remotely as required, and see clients in your local area where possible. The job is predominantly on the road, so in-between work can be conducted from your home, the Williams OT office, or a cafe. Williams OT is looking to expand our model of practice into every state of Australia, so working remotely is worked into our structure.
